The proles can just burn...

in Old Blighty, it seems.

Now, I don't usually hold much hope of attempting to fight a serious fire with a hand held five pound fire extinguisher, and to be sure, once going, a fire is something that will only be put out with a liberal application of the correct extinguishing agent, or letting it burn itself out. However, I don't see how removing extinguishers by way of, "fire assessments...to 'eliminate or reduce risk as is reasonably practical'," is in any way doing a service to the occupants of any building.

I have at least 6 of them in my house. One in the garage (another one that I've not considered in the car I store there), another just inside the garage man door to the laundry (literally not more than 4 or 5 feet from the garage unit!), and another in the kitchen which is a dozen-or-so feet from the laundry room.

Some consider this paranoia. I just happen to know where most fires start.

Two are upstairs, one in each bathroom and another in the basement utility room.

I'm not sure much more can be done, other than to make sure a fire doesn't get started in the first place.

Oh, and I'd seriously consider a little practice (beware of the mess you'll be cleaning up) on the use of one, on a controlled, live fire if at all possible. The life you save may be your own.

I hope the asshole rots in Hell

Seriously.

Ask anyone who has a pulse in the Empire State what they actually think about the situation and they'll probably agree with me. I think Billy is going to enjoy the whole spectacle.

There will be blood...

over this.

Count on it.

California, by way of the Appelate Court ruling there, has declared that your children are not your own, and that they'll punish parents who don't play by the system that the state has established for educating children.

I don't even care about the "licensed professional" aspect of teaching. Hell, I'm a licensed professional, and the reason why I don't care about it is that I see peers fuck shit up, way up, every fucking day! Nothing I have seen in the last dozen years has shown me, to any reasonable degree, that professionals are any better at doing what it is that they were supposedly trained to do than others with above average intelligence and a good deal of experience with the subject matter at hand.

In fact, there are any number of professional fuck ups that result in deaths of citizens of this country, each and every year.

Another step on the path toward serfdom.

More swirling about the bowl

Read that same bit in the local rag at lunch.

Just lovely, innit?

Yup. The implosion is coming along swimmingly, and I have yet to make certain provisions for the impending doom to follow.

Not sure that there is enough time at this point.

I guess I'll just have to load another magazine.

The damnation will come

I simply can't understand why anyone who is awake wouldn't know what's being rather openly stated over there.

The idea behind this whole registration scheme is that the powers that be, and this (powers...) is a rather nebulous term here, I realize, need only get that whole registration boat floating, then it will just be a matter of fiddle-fucking with the law, since that is such a pliable thing these days, and the scope of the matter can be expanded to include whatever it is that the statists want.

It's just a ridiculous standard to commit to, and anyone who is attempting to come close to it should just drop dead, as far as I'm concerned. It's nothing more than pandering to the least common denominator, since a law can be, and has been, made to condone or condemn most anything, up to and including murder. Or, just chewing gum.

And yet laws are passed everyday, without a thought about what it is that might be the true cause of the perceived problem, if one exists at all.

Anyone who doesn't think this exact same thing is wrong. Period.

End of story.

The swirl around the bowl toward the next great cultural cleansing continues.
