Doing it differently, alright!

Yes, the God-Damned Fucking Donk Party of Congress just doled out a serious shovel-full of yet more of the promised Hope-n-Change; they extended the Patriot Act...by voice vote.

How's that shit workin' for ya, dipshits?

Fuck the lot of you.

Seven dirty words

With apologies to George Carlin, because it's hardly a matter that's being restricted to the idiot box any longer.

I'm in agreement with the first commentor over at Karen DeCoster's place;

Goo says:
February 25th, 2010 at 8:09 pm

Find out the kid’s travel route. Post the .kml on google maps. Stage protests with people in his face with big signs that say ” FUCK YOU, PRICK.”

The protest chant could be Carlin’s 7 dirty words.

H/T to Billy Beck.

Smug Alert

The lady makes me laugh.

With absolutely zero doubt, I can point directly to the LEED criteria regarding the "points" that are acrued by utilization of this standard.

The world is skewed to the wants of a few, and the rest of us must comply. That is the end result they are looking for, and I'm not going to be a part of it, insofar as I can avoid playing the stupid game that the USGBC has set up.

Fuck 'em.

MSM makes their support known

That is why I'm A-OK with slitting their throats when the killing starts.

The outright lies within are astounding, to wit;
"Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the nationally televised event showed GOP lawmakers are "accepting of the status quo" in which insurance companies mistreat consumers." (my emphasis)
By whose standards are consumers being "mistreated?" They've made it sound as if the fucking insurance companies have been at the water board with us all, or something. Oh, and the bit about mistreatment is a meaningful use of a term by the "journalists" here, and not Queen Nancy. You'd best cover that shit up, you journos, your bias is showing.

Yet another tidbit;
"The House and Senate both passed sweeping bills late last year, and had appeared on the cusp of reaching agreement on a final compromise that could remake the nation's health care system early last month. In general, the bills would have expanded coverage to tens of millions who lack it, while curbing insurance industry abuses such as banning the denial of coverage on the basis of pre-existing medical conditions."(again, my emphasis)
This isn't exactly provable, as the provisions simply can not accurately predict that the outcomes will actually provide coverage to their supposed masses (millions, they say). It may be written in the bill that way, but real life has a way of dealing those well-laid plans to ruin.

I'd also like to tell Dick Durbin that he's as dumb as a bag of rocks, straight to his face;
"The Senate's second-ranking Democrat, Richard Durbin of Illinois, seconded the determination to move ahead. "We are not going to wait," he said."
Well, Dick, you've waited this long, and for most of the last 13 months or so, you've had a super-majority working in your favor, and it's led to exactly squat. You could have passed something earlier, and didn't. You're acting like a petulent child dictator with that language, you stupid fuck, and you need your nancy-boy faced slapped for it.

As usual, there is more, but I'll not risk my appetite any further.

The Dunce-in-Chief isn't a quick learner,

as evidenced by his earlier moves with regard to credit cards.

Just this morning, a quote from the Yahoo! piece;

"During the past nine months, credit card companies jacked up interest rates, created new fees and cut credit lines. They also closed down millions of accounts. So a law hailed as the most sweeping piece of consumer legislation in decades has helped make it more difficult for millions of Americans to get credit, and made that credit more expensive.

It wasn't supposed to be this way. The law that President Barack Obama signed last May shields card users from sudden interest rate hikes, excessive fees and other gimmicks that card companies have used to drive up profits...

But there was a catch.

Card companies had nine months to prepare while certain rules were clarified by the Federal Reserve. They used that time to take actions that ended up hurting the same customers who were supposed to be helped."

So, governmental intervention actually didn't get the outcome that was intended with this piece of shit legislation.

So what does the Dunce want to do now with healthcare...again? If you guessed repeating the same mistake twice, move to the front of the line.

Let me highlight it;
"...President Barack Obama on Monday put forward a nearly $1 trillion, 10-year compromise that would allow the government to deny or roll back egregious insurance premium increases that infuriate consumers."
The stupid son-of-a-bitch isn't taking the necessary lesson from a working business model (and one he has previous experience with, see above), and I'm entirely sure that he'll keep the heat on his political friends in Congress to see to it that his agenda is put forth on this issue as well.

Yet he's glib about the whole bit, and keeps repeating the same lies,
"...The White House said the plan would provide coverage to more than 31 million Americans now uninsured without adding to the federal deficit..."
Horseshit, and anyone with a working brain knows it.

Count on this move costing almost all people both more money and decreased coverage, both in terms of quality and quantity.

There is more, but it sickens me to read any further.

Here endeth the lesson.

Only promises

The real technology behind this, if these twerps will ever admit it, is that god-awful hydrogen fuel cell non-sense that's been paraded about for...who cares how long?!?

That means that liquid hydrogen gets put into a tank in your car (and this is pretty volatile stuff, making gasoline look positively safe, by comparison) and as it passes through an expansion orifice and over a composite matrix, creates an electrical charge, with both heat and water as by-products.

Anyone spot the bullshit, yet?

So, explain it to me; Where does one get all the energy to push all of that supposedly "free" hydrogen together, into a dense liquid?

Beuhler?

Thought so.

I'll keep my internal combustion engines, thankyouverymuch.

Making a statement

Wow.

I must have been on another planet, or something.

I saw the headline earlier today that mentioned a plane crashing into a building in Texas, but dismissed it, because planes falling from the sky aren't that unusual, and since planes are very typically close to buildings, by their very nature as transportation, it's not too uncommon for them to end up in someone's living room.

This isn't the case, here.

I'm curious to see what a few other peoples' take on this event will be, notably Billy and...look, Mike already has a comment. Why am I not surprised.

I suppose this dude with the plane took a chapter straight from the Ho Chi Minh manual on this one,
"Cherish your enemies, they teach you the best lessons."

Time to batten the hatches, methinks.

UPDATE; 4:32PM : Billy Beck chimes in. I can always count on the man for commentary on this sort of thing.

Is he so stupid as to actually believe that shit?

It must be agitprop. NO ONE can possibly that glib.

Bald face of the Totalitarianistic Left

Seriously, it's only going to get worse.

Vegan Mondays?

And, "...a carbon tax, "of some kind." Whatever that is supposed to mean.

What's more disgusting, just maybe, is the response given by the American Enterprise Institute's Dr. Ken Green, who said that there were, "overall redundancies," and that congestion charges and increased meter rates were, "just a revenue raiser for the city."

Note for Ken, you've already lost this one, since you are refusing to attack this on anything other than the shear principle of slavery. You've agreed to argue the minutiae about this, and by way, let them define the grounds upon which to fight. Arguing which form of bondage is best in this situation, and attempting to argue that they are somehow "double-dipping," makes about as much sense as a sheep complaining to the the pack of wolves about which one of them gets to eat him, you egg-headed moron.

This is what happens when the collectivist "intellectuals" get together and have an orgy.

These monsters must be stopped.

Sophistry, plain and simple or...

How's that fucking Hope 'n Change working for ya?

This should make your skin crawl;
"warrantless tracking is permitted because Americans enjoy no "reasonable expectation of privacy" in their--or at least their cell phones'--whereabouts. U.S. Department of Justice lawyers say that "a customer's Fourth Amendment rights are not violated when the phone company reveals to the government its own records" that show where a mobile device placed and received calls."
Oh, how nice. Your phone can pretty much get tapped now, at will, by the Feds, because it's no longer a signal over a wire, but instead, a digitally pulsed signal going through a satellite.

Anyone care to call bullshit?

H/T to War on Guns.

Nevermind the illegaler bits...

Instead, move straight to the bottom of the story,
"...one count of unlawful possession of a firearm after a felony conviction. "
But, but, but...that's just not possible. There is a law in place, fergoshsakes, that makes it impossible to own a gun if you've been convicted of a felony.

(smartass off)

The other shit is nothing more that window dressing for the proles, attempting to prove to the masses how much the gummint is doing in the War-on-(some)-Drugs.

Krugman is an idiot

Krugman really has not a clue about how our government is intended to work. Of course, as I've pointed out before, he's not too bright.

The simple fact that there is an implicit process in place, to stall most any plan or bill, with debate, is amongst the most important aspects of the Congressional process. It's there to help preserve the status quo, and to keep the busy hands of Gummint from meddling in the business of the general citizenry. Moving things too quickly leads to poor leadership and direction, sometimes with disastrous consequences.

But that historical fact is lost on the moron, Krugman, and he weeps that Republican Senators are holding back the Congress (and by extension, Barry) and, "...making the nation ungovernable."

Change your diaper, Paul.

Hell, I'd give vital parts of my anatomy to get that process he's outlined in the old Polish Sejm. Unanimous consent?!? Think about how little damage could be done if one, and only one, member has to have his head screwed on even half-straight when the typical drivel gets floor time in the Senate.

Unanimity principle.

It outta be a law.

Green Police

Is it just me, or did anyone else find that Audi commercial, during the Big Game, more than a little disturbing.

Not funny, and definitely not the usual Pat-Yourself-on-the-Back-and-Holier-than-Thou horseshit one usually gets from the Eco-Phreaks.

Downright Orwellian, actually, since I can see most of that shit happening in the not too distant future.

Hank needs a spanking

What tripe, to wit;
"I was very impressed that candidate Obama was very concerned with what was going on and was very supportive,"
he says of the TARP initiative that supposed 'saved' the banking industry during the 'breakdown' in the months just before the election.

Seriously, he needs to have his ass whooped in a way as to permenantly disable that stupid motherfucker from ever uttering such nonsense again.

His dutiful obedience at the feet of Barry, The One, is obvious, and I'll have no truck with anyone who makes even oblique comments that are favorable to that stupid, dictatorial idiot.

PSA

Usually I drive with my lights on, regardless of the weather.

When it rains, the wipers go on, because it's just easier for me to be seen. This just makes pretty good sense, I think. Most drivers reciprocate, and all is right with the world.

So, why is it, that in near white-out conditions, there seem to be a bunch of stupid motherfuckers out driving without their lights on?

This makes about as much sense to me as jumping into a bull fight while blindfolded.

Wipers on? If yes, then turn on your lights too, assholes!

The life you save may be your own.

Good, I'm looking forward to the hangings

Seriously, I look at these people with the same scorn and derision that I do with the banking and financial fiasco that we are currently (and for years to come) enduring. They should be put in prison for this type of mass manipulation.

...and, just so I can pick a fight, I'll add this; I wonder what the stupid fuck, Jadegold, has to say about it?

Oh, that's right, global warming is a scientifically proven fact (snark), and even if we can now prove the scam behind it all, I'm sure that makes us deniers just a bunch of God-fearing creationists, or some other rot.

Calling the play-by-play

The zinger;
"...a chastened Barry O. figured that the answer must lie in spending even more money we don't have...Apparently, if you're in a hole, the solution is to switch your shovel to "Turbo"."
As always, keeping her eye right on the ball.
